Our customers often underestimate The Importance of Marketing to Grow your Business & Profit
Marketing has been defined by the Chartered Institute of Marketing as “The management process responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer requirements profitably” an extremely accurate statement from 1976.
40 years on and the way in which we market to consumers has changed due to a number of factors, including our now fast paced way of life and technology, however this statement remains true.
Some people believe Marketing is just sales and advertising, this is far from the truth.
The overall marketing umbrella covers numerous sectors including advertising, public relations, promotions and sales. Marketing, is in fact the hub to any successful business.
Clever marketing can lead to success in business, whether it is large corporates or small, family run businesses. Without proper Marketing you can’t get close to customers, and if you can’t, a competitor most definitely will.
I once heard a quote “If you build it, they will come” which I later found out was taken from the film Field of Dreams. However, used within the business sector this is an accurate quote – do not expect to have a product and sell it without marketing the product/service first.
I hope that you get the basic idea of the Importance of Marketing to Grow your Business & most importantly profit. It can sometimes cost initially, however if done correctly you will reap the benefits. It will be in fact the best money you ever spent!
One last question – Ask yourself this – “Will my business be successful or not?”
The answer – it all depends on your marketing.
