Money changing hands behind the scenes is the sort of thing you'd rather know about than find out about. So here's how it works with us.

Most of the time, there's no commission at all

On a Drive Subscribe subscription, we're the funder. The vehicle is ours and the agreement is with us, so there's no lender in the middle and no commission for anyone to pay us. Nothing is added to your monthly payment on account of commission, because there's nothing to add.

Where we do act as a broker

We may sometimes arrange finance for a vehicle through a third party lender rather than funding it ourselves. If we do that, that lender may pay us a commission for introducing you.

When that happens, the commission is a fixed amount. It doesn't go up if you pay a higher rate, take a longer term, or borrow more — so there's no version of this where we earn more by putting you on a worse deal. We'll tell you before you sign anything if commission applies to your agreement.

Just ask

If you want to know whether we're receiving a commission on your agreement, and how much, ask us and we'll tell you. You don't need a reason, and it won't affect how we deal with you.

What we charge you directly

Separately from any commission, we charge a Documentation Fee of £95 plus VAT (£114 including VAT), or £195 plus VAT (£234 including VAT) on one month contracts. It's payable at order stage, once acceptable finance has been agreed, and it covers the cost of processing your agreement. There are no other fees for arranging your vehicle.

Drive Subscribe, a trading style of ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd, whose registered office is The Carriage House, Mill Street, Maidstone, Kent ME15 6YE, are an independent vehicle owner and broker of hire, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
