Nine months is a contract length, not a round number — which is exactly why businesses choose it. A fixed-term role, a funded project, an academic year.
Figures exclude VAT. Nine month terms are overwhelmingly business agreements, so that is the number we lead with.
Nine months isn't a round number, and that's rather the point. People don't land on it by accident — they choose it because their need has a date on it. A fixed-term contract. A project with a clear finish. A placement that runs three quarters of a year, not half and not whole. A 9 month car lease maps to that timeline exactly: a proper car for the length of the job, on a fixed monthly price, handed back when the work's done.
“My first leased vehicle, and first time buying a car online. I kept expecting something to go wrong or hidden charges — but it was an incredibly easy transaction, great customer service, and everything went without a hitch.”
It's a short term lease pinned to nine months — a set monthly price for a car that stays ours, returned at the end. It's the considered middle: more room than six months, less commitment than a full year. For a defined stretch of work, it means you're not paying for a car a single day longer than you need it.
Nine months is a deliberate choice, and it's nearly always tied to a fixed timeline:
Most nine-month leases are business, arranged around a specific contract — sometimes whole fleets go out together on a single project. Timeline not quite nine months? Drop us a line and we'll be honest about whether it fits.
One monthly price, fixed for all nine months, with the running costs already inside it: servicing and maintenance, road tax, breakdown cover, the manufacturer warranty, and free delivery and collection. Both delivery and collection are free across mainland Britain — the Highlands are the one exclusion. Swap part-way through if the job changes shape. The only two things you add are insurance and fuel.
Insurance you sort yourself, and it's the cheaper way round. A policy priced to cover any driver would add to everyone's monthly cost, so instead you arrange cover for the nine months and stop it when the car comes back — paying for exactly your risk and nobody else's. We'll confirm what's needed ahead of the handover.
One job stays with you beyond insurance and fuel: telling us when a service is due. Nine months is long enough that most cars reach one. The dashboard counts down in days or miles — ring us when it starts, and we’ll book it at an approved service centre and cover the cost. Leave it more than 500 miles past due and the warranty falls away, which nobody wants. Every other charge that can ever appear on an agreement is listed on our fees and charges page, rather than left in the small print.
We bring the car to you free, wherever you are in the UK, and collect it free at the end of the term. Allow roughly 10 to 14 days from order to arrival. We don't do same-day — those days go into getting the car cleaned, checked and genuinely ready, so day one of your contract isn't spent sorting the car out.
Every price you see defaults to Business, excluding VAT — switch to Personal and it's added for you, no adding-up required. Because nine-month deals are often tied to specific offers, the range and pricing here can be more particular than our other terms — worth a quick look, or a quick call.
Three things are due at the start, all shown plainly: your first month's rental, a one-off £95 plus VAT documentation fee, and a refundable deposit from £750, returned once the car comes back in good order. After that, you're on the monthly price for the rest of the contract.
A nine month lease includes either 1,000 or 2,000 miles a month. Beyond that it's 40p a mile plus VAT, charged only on the miles over your allowance and at a rate shown up front. On a project with a lot of driving, tell us at the start and we'll look at a higher allowance.
Whether it's a car for a contractor or a set of vans for a project team, nine-month terms work the same way — one fixed monthly cost for the length of the contract, handed back when it ends. For a fleet on a fixed timeline, it's a clean, predictable line in the budget.
No capital tied up in vehicles you only need for the project. The VAT position on cars differs from vans, so check the detail with your accountant. Tell us the vehicles, the numbers and the dates and we'll source and deliver a fleet on one clear set of terms.
Because nine months suits specific needs rather than everyday browsing, our ready-to-drive nine-month range is smaller than our three, six and twelve-month lists — sometimes it's a single model, sometimes it's built around a live contract.
If nine months is genuinely your timeline, don't be put off by a short list: tell us what you need and we'll source the right vehicles for the term. And if your dates could flex, six, twelve or eighteen months may give you more to choose from — we'll tell you honestly which fits.
Because your timeline says nine. It's the term people pick when a contract, project or placement has a specific end date that doesn't round neatly. If your dates could stretch either way, six, twelve or eighteen months may open up more choice — and we'll tell you honestly which one fits.
Yes — a 9 month car lease can be extended. If the contract runs on, tell us before the nine months are up and we'll extend or move you to another vehicle. If it wraps early or late, talk to us — we'd rather flex around the real job than the paperwork.
No, by design. One-size cover would cost you more than cover set to you. Arrange your own for the nine months, cancel it when the car's back, and you only pay your own risk. We'll set out what's needed before delivery.
1,000 or 2,000 miles a month, with excess miles at 40p each (plus VAT) and only the overage charged. Expecting heavy mileage on a project? Flag it up front and we'll look at your options.
Three things, all shown from the start: your first month's rental, a one-off £95 plus VAT documentation fee, and a refundable deposit from £750, returned once the car's back in good order. Then it's simply the monthly price.
Yes — it's a lot of what our nine-month leases are. Tell us the vehicles, the numbers and the dates, and we'll source and deliver a fleet for the length of the contract, on one clear set of terms. Ask us about business terms.
We book it and we cover the cost, at an approved service centre — but you have to tell us it’s due. Nine months is long enough that most cars reach a service, so the countdown on your dashboard matters here. Left more than 500 miles past due, the manufacturer’s warranty lapses and a £500 plus VAT missed service fee applies.
