Cookie Policy
What cookies we use, what each one does, and how to change what you've agreed to.
This Cookie Policy was updated on 1st September 2026.
Drive Subscribe is a trading style of ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd.
This page explains what cookies we use and what each one does. If you'd rather change what you've agreed to, use the Manage cookies link below.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. It holds a short string of letters and numbers, and the site reads it back on your next page or your next visit. Some expire the moment you close the browser. Others sit there for months.
Most cookies don't identify you personally. Some, combined with what we already hold about you, can be linked back to you — our privacy policy covers what we do with personal information generally.
The cookies we use
Necessary — the site doesn't work without these
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| drive_subscribe_session | Keeps track of your visit as you move from page to page, so the site remembers what you're in the middle of. | Expires when your session ends |
| XSRF-TOKEN | A security token that checks a form was submitted by you, on our site, and not by someone else on your behalf. | Expires when your session ends |
| remember_web_[id] | Keeps you signed in between visits, if you've asked us to remember you. | Up to a year |
Preferences — these remember your choices
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent_level | Records which types of cookie you agreed to, so we don't ask you again every visit. | About a year |
| cookie_consent_user_accepted | Records that you've answered the cookie banner. | About a year |
| cookie_consent_user_consent_token | The reference for your consent, so we can show what you agreed to and when. | About a year |
Analytics — how the site gets better
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages get read, where people give up, what to fix next. It tells us about visits, not about you personally.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells one visitor apart from another, so a returning visit isn't counted twice. | 2 years |
| _ga_YPPBM0W2S6 | Keeps track of the current visit for our Google Analytics property. | 2 years |
Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising — measuring whether our ads work
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Set by Google Ads. If you arrived from one of our adverts and then made an enquiry, this is what connects the two, so we know which advertising is worth paying for. | 90 days |
Changing your mind
Use the Manage cookies link on this page. You can turn everything except the necessary cookies on or off, as often as you like.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings — the Help section of your browser will tell you how, and aboutcookies.org explains it for most of them. Blocking everything will break parts of this site, and not just ours.
