Three months is a probation period, a seasonal contract, or the wait on a factory order — which is why most three month agreements are written for businesses rather than households.
All figures here exclude VAT, the number a VAT-registered business budgets against.
Need a car for three months — not three years? Maybe you're on a probation period, covering a season of work, or waiting on a car that's still being built. A three month car lease bridges the gap: a proper car, a fixed monthly price, and no long contract tying you down. Choose your car, we deliver it to your door, and at the end you extend, swap or hand it back — whichever suits you when the three months are up.
“Had such a positive experience with ACL, I could not recommend them more! Such a great team.”
It's a short term lease. You pay a fixed amount each month to drive a car that isn't yours to keep. Three months sits in the sweet spot between daily rental — which gets expensive fast — and a two or three year lease you can't get out of. You get a newer car than a short rental, at a price that makes sense for a few months rather than a few days.
It's the classic bridge. People come to us when they're:
If your situation isn't on the list, it probably still fits. Give us a call and we'll tell you straight.
The monthly price stays put for all three months — no mid-term changes, no catches. It rolls in servicing and maintenance, road tax, breakdown cover, the manufacturer warranty, and free delivery and collection, and you can swap cars if your plans move. Free delivery covers mainland Britain; the Highlands are excluded. What's not in there is insurance and fuel. Those two are yours to sort; everything else sits with us.
One job stays with you beyond insurance and fuel: telling us when a service is due. Three months rarely reaches one, but if the dashboard starts counting down, ring us — we book the work at an approved service centre and the cost sits inside your monthly price. Every other charge that can ever appear on an agreement is listed on our fees and charges page, rather than left in the small print.
Insurance is the one thing you arrange yourself, and there's a good reason for it. A blanket policy priced for everyone would cost you more than one matched to you. So you take out your own cover for the three months and drop it the moment the car's back with us — you're never paying for more than you use. We'll set out exactly what you need before the car turns up.
Getting the car to you costs nothing, wherever you are in the UK — and so does collecting it at the end. From order to your driveway is usually 10 to 14 days. We could rush it, but we don't: those few days are what let us turn up with a car that's spotless and genuinely ready to drive.
Every car shows its monthly price up front, defaulting to Business excluding VAT — switch to Personal to see it with VAT added. Sort by price and find the cheapest three month lease for the car you actually want.
Three things are due when you order, all stated plainly: your first month's rental up front, a one-off £95 plus VAT documentation fee, and a refundable deposit that comes back once the car's returned in good order. After that, it's just the monthly price.
Every three month lease comes with a choice of 1,000 or 2,000 miles a month. Go over and it's 65p a mile plus VAT — and we only ever charge for the miles beyond your allowance, at a rate you can see before you order, never after. Think you'll need more? Say so up front and we'll see what we can do.
Three months is a neat fit for a probation hire, a short project or a seasonal spike — put someone in a car for exactly as long as the work lasts, on one fixed monthly cost with no capital tied up and nothing to unwind at the end.
The VAT and tax position on a car differs from a van, so check the detail with your accountant, but as a clean, short-term business expense it's an easy call.
Three months is roughly a season, and some people lease that way on purpose. Something small and cheap to run through the summer, a bigger SUV or a four-wheel-drive for the winter, an estate for the months you're hauling kit about — then swap when the season turns. Because there's no long contract, you can keep matching the car to what the next few months actually demand, rather than owning one compromise all year round.
Lease a car or a van for three months on the same terms — hatchbacks, saloons, SUVs, electric, and work vans.
Whatever the next quarter looks like, there's something to match it.
Yes — a 3 month car lease can be extended. If three months turns into six, just tell us before the term ends and we'll sort an extension — same car, same simple terms.
You've got three choices: extend, switch to a different car, or hand it back. Arrange it with a customer advisor before your term's up and we'll collect the car from you.
No — you sort that bit yourself, and it saves you money. Cover priced for every driver under one policy would cost more than cover matched to you. Insure the car for your three months, cancel it when it goes back, and that's that. We'll spell out what's required before delivery.
Yes — you can change to a different car during a 3 month lease. If your needs change — a bigger boot, an EV, something smaller — you can switch when your term ends. If it's urgent, talk to us mid-term and we'll see what we can do.
1,000 or 2,000 miles a month, with anything over charged at 65p a mile plus VAT — and only the miles beyond your allowance are billed. If you know you'll need more, tell us before you order and we'll see what's possible.
Three things when you order, all shown up front: your first month's rental, a one-off £95 plus VAT documentation fee, and a refundable deposit that comes back once the car's returned in good order. Those are the only upfront costs.
Yes — a business can lease a car for 3 months. Contractors, seasonal teams and businesses covering a gap all use short term leases. One fixed monthly cost, no long tie-in, and you hand the car back when the job's done.
We do, and we pay for it — you just tell us when it’s due. Three months seldom reaches a service interval, but a high-mileage quarter can. Watch the countdown on the dashboard and call us the moment it starts; we book the work at an approved service centre and it costs you nothing.
There are several short term van leasing options, including contracts as short as 3 months.
